Information and Communication Technology
Inspiring Creativity, Connecting the World: A Tech Journey
Technology is not just a tool—it is the key to unlocking infinite possibilities. Our school’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) curriculum aims to foster students' interest in technology while nurturing positive values and attitudes. It equips students with essential knowledge and practical skills to enhance learning efficiency, process information effectively, and confidently meet the challenges of an ever-changing future. Moreover, our ICT curriculum integrates Artificial Intelligence, Maker/Coding Education, and Immersive Media. We empower students to transform from passive technology users into active creators and responsible digital citizens.
1. Embracing the Future: Deep AI Collaboration with Elite Universities (CUHK & MIT)
---
- Upper primary students (P.4–P.6) fully engage in the AI Tech Edu (GOAI with CUHK & MIT) international curriculum, developed in collaboration with The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Combined with generative AI multimedia creation in P.3, students build cutting-edge AI concepts, practical applications, and ethical awareness from an early age, equipping them for the AI era.
2. Immersive Technology: Interactive 3D & Virtual/Augmented Reality (VR/AR) Creation
---
- Moving beyond traditional 2D instruction, this module guides students to design interactive VR and AR content using interactive 3D and virtual reality platforms. It transforms students from technology users into creators in 3D space, fostering their spatial thinking and immersive media production capabilities.
3. Aligning with National Security Education: Technological Development in China and Cybersecurity
---
- Actively responding to National Security Education, the curriculum incorporates real-world examples of China’s latest technology development, for example, Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and smart city advancements, alongside in-depth exploration of Cybersecurity in Communication Technology. This cultivates digital citizens with national perspectives, strong personal data privacy awareness, and technological safety mindsets.
4. Computational Thinking: Hardware-Software Integration & Hands-on Coding
---
- Developing logical thinking step-by-step: P.4-6 students learn block-based programming through the Jockey Club Computing Thinking Education (@CoolThink) program; P.5 students engage in small-class practical learning using Micro:bit integrated with sensors and AI applications, sharpening their ability to combine hardware and software to solve real-world problems.
5. Cloud-Based Learning: High Productivity & Digital Citizenship
---
- Starting from P.1 and P.2, students master the use of tablets, mainstream cloud collaboration platforms, and email systems. In Primary 3, they learn data processing and analysis using spreadsheet software. Meanwhile, cybersecurity education and awareness of Intellectual Property (IP) are integrated to cultivate responsible online behavior.
