Journey to our Dreams

Starting from the 2020-2021 school year, we have added two new courses - Dreamstarter Lite and Dreamstarter - in the E1 period of Primary 5 and Primary 6. Our goal is to enable students to broaden their horizons by understanding the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, and practising their design-thinking skills in P5. In addition, P6 students apply the knowledge they have acquired in other subjects, and expressing their empathy and concern for the needs of different levels of the society. Then, they conduct research and come up with different solutions to the problems. Moreover, they use their creativity to design products that improve problems and try to prototype products that they hope will improve the quality of people’s life, and strengthen connections between schools, communities, and society.

A total of 31 P6 students participated in the program this year. They split into four groups and conceived four themes. Due to the epidemic, class hours had to be shortened. However, students could still complete their projects within the limited time. They went through the process of identifying problems, proposing solutions, seeking help from community members through pitches, organizing project activities, producing, and improving product designs, and presenting their ideas at sharing sessions.
